Sunday in the Cathedral of Our Lady of Angels

Picture 014 Picture 036Living in Los Angeles allows for lots of places to worship on a Sunday.  Today, we decided to visit the Cathedral of Our Lady of Angels, in downtown Los Angels.  Paris has it’s Notre Dame, Rome has St. Peter’s Bascillica, Colon has it’s cathedral, and City of Angels’ has it’s own.  Modern, clean lines, limestone walls, alabaster windows, images of Los Angeles, tapestries of saints, imagery of angels, and great acoustics are what make this cathedral one worth visiting, especially in these trying times, for Catholics.  So, we decided that despite all the negative headlines and shakiness of the Catholic church, we would hold strong to our faith, dress in our Sunday best, and head to praise with the angels.

Maya is wearing a Naartjie dress with a Target denim jacket.  I decided to go the more vintage route with a thrift-found dress, Old Navy jacket, Journee shoes, and my Urban Outfitters Kimchi bag.

The choir, pipe organ, and acoustics sounded like a choir of angels.
