Today was the annual Spring Fair at my school. Maya Rosie was up bright and early this morning and ready to go!When we got there, my husband and I rushed off to our volunteer posts and Maya dragged Grammy to the girlie section of the fair. There was face painting.
Followed by the giant slide. With that one, she had her partner-in-crime…her Daddy.
Maya whispered words of encouragement into Grammy’s ear.
I have decided that every Friday, will be Thankful Friday. This is not to say that I don’t give thanks every day. Today, I am thankful that my husband is home safe; I am thankful that my little Maya Rosie had Pajama Day at school, and I got some extra sleep; I am thankful to have nothing to do this weekend; I am thankful for my health; and I am thankful for the friends I have in my life. Wishing you all a Happy Friday!
Recently, I have been hearing “the whisper”. To many, this whisper signals a time for change – a time for newness in one’s life. The whisper in my life seems to say the opposite – I feel the urge to stand firm exactly where I am, but to change my perception of things and people. I am happy where I am, mostly. And, for the areas of my life that bring stress and unhappiness, my whisper affirms the fact that one creates their own happiness and ease in life. Thanks to my whisper, I plan to stay exactly where I am and just review my priorities…one step at a time. It’s almost the weekend – enjoy your Thursday!
This week, I have felt like I am a chicken running around with it’s head chopped off. Between work, home, and my involvement at my Maya’s school, I barely find time to breathe. That said, I am forced to be better organized, enjoy the few free moments I do have, and show my true colors…an organized, supportive, multitasker.
Let’s take care of God’s green earth – recycle, reuse, rebuild. Happy Earth Day!
